Qual deve ser o lugar ocupado pela gramática no ensino/aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira, principalmente no ensino voltado para futuros profissionais de secretariado? Apesar de ser vista atualmente por muitos como uma componente de pouca importância, a gramática continua a desempenhar um papel de grande valor no ensino de qualquer língua, seja ela materna ou estrangeira. Por acreditarmos que o aprendiz ocupa o centro de todo processo de ensino/aprendizagem, objetivamos com este estudo identificar as representações que alunos de um curso de Secretariado Executivo Trilíngüe de uma universidade do interior de Minas Gerais possuem acerca de questões referentes ao ensino de gramática, tanto do português quanto do francês. Um questionário foi elaborado a partir dos modelos de Besse e Porquier (1984) e de Germain e Séguin (1998) e neste trabalho são apresentados os resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa.
